I have been working as a Designer Jeweller and Goldsmith for many years, working from the viewpoint that a reflection of the person I am commissioned by in the work I create is paramount. This helps me to create beautiful pieces that enhance the person they are made for.
I have also developed story lines and themes to my work, one of which is to tell my client's 'life story' in a symbolic three dimensional form as necklaces. I have also made necklaces based on powerful meditations my clients have had, and I now specialise in creating Memorial jewellery for my clients who have inherited items they treasure, but are not suitable in their current form to be worn. I have reworked ladies' wedding rings into necklaces if their husband has died, and also gentlemans wives' rings into signet rings - which means they can continue to wear them and keep the connection, but can then present it in a new way.
